2010-2013: in cooperation with the Swiss NGO HEKS EPER, ABCO implemented the project of “Improve the living    conditions of the population of the Akhaltsikhe, Aspindza and Adigeni districts of Samtskhe- Javakheti Region of Georgia”. The project aimed at providing rural population in the 3 target districts with new income generation opportunities through establishment and development of local farmers’ associations of Beekeepers and Potato Growers as capable and sustainable local organizations playing active role in development of agribusiness activities and improvement of livelihood of local population. Activities within the project included assisting above associations in their organization development and capacity building through delivery of relevant trainings and consultancy, provision of access to quality farming inputs and modern storage facilities, support in developing value added production, creating of market linkages to central markets, distribution and promotion of their products, etc (more...);
